1999 Hunterian Professor. ‘A new polymer conduit to improve peripheral nerve regeneration’. Based on research in nerve regeneration at the Blond McIndoe Centre, East Grinstead 1997-98, with Dr G Terenghi, Prof C Green and Prof D A McGrouther.
1998 John Calder Prize for the best presentation Summer BAPS. ‘Nerve repair using a new bioabsorbable synthetic conduit’. Work carried out in collaboration with Prof Wiberg, Sweden.
